Okay, so this is sort of a mean thing to say about a person, even though he’s pretty much the reason that Twilight is so huge, making him my prime target to bring down.. But this is low, even to my rebellious standards.

The reason I’m posting it is because I just find it amusing. ^_^

On the one hand, there’s buzz from some staffers that the British actor’s ”typical European aversion of daily showers” has people sticking up their noses in disgust every time they get close enough to get a whiff of him.

There’s even talk it’s bugging his co-star Kristen Stewart, causing her major olfactory offense — given she has to spend so much time in close proximity to Pattinson.

Supposedly, a few people have dropped some pretty obvious hints, leaving a few deodorants and body wash bottles in Pattinson’s trailer on the set.

hahhahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Milking in the Money

You know how some movies only have at least 2 versions of DVD’s – regular and collectors? Well, Twilight the Movie has tons:

from Target

from Borders

from HMV (Canada).. supposedly the “Ultimate fan edition” -.-

ANDDDD…. If those weren’t enough…

Yeesh, as you can see, not only do they have a ‘regular’ and ‘collectors’, they have at least 4 different versions of DVD”s!!! I think the last one isn’t a DVD but just a gift set.. and they probably think that a hard core fan would buy all these different versions so they can rake in the money!

C. Hardwicke (director) seems to also get in on the action, realizing that fans would want to see the behind-the-scenes of the crappy movie.. By the way, couldn’t she pay someone to do the cover for her? That book looks awful. Awwwful!

Master of Horror disses Meyer’s writing ability

Here’s a big excerpt from an interview done by USAWeekend with author Stephen King, master of Horror :

I think that I serve that purpose for some writers, and that’s a good thing. Both Rowling and Meyer, they’re speaking directly to young people. … The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good.”

But then King recalls that when his mom was alive, she read all the Erle Stanley Gardner books, the Perry Mason mysteries, obsessively when he was growing up. “He was a terrible writer, too, but he was very successful,” King says. “Somebody who’s a terrific writer who’s been very, very successful is Jodi Picoult. You’ve got Dean Koontz, who can write like hell. And then sometimes he’s just awful. It varies. James Patterson is a terrible writer but he’s very very successful. People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it’s very clear that she’s writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It’s exciting and it’s thrilling and it’s not particularly threatening because they’re not overtly sexual. A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that’s a shorthand for all the feelings that they’re not ready to deal with yet.”

*goes into fits of giggles* He is spot-on, and I can’t believe he said this out loud! I mean, I say this out loud, but I’m just a random voice. He, however, is a top author meaning whatever he says will be read a thousand times more, and not just from Twilight fans (who are sometimes blinded by love of Meyer), but from people of all age and gender.

Even more so, Meyer has the spotlight on her right now, and he just bluntly says she “can’t write worth a darn”. HAH! Kudos to you, King!

The Beginning of TwiHater

My name is TwiHater, and let’s leave it at that. My short history with Twilight – I used to be a fan a while back, when my book club kept talking about it and urged me to read it. Hating vampires and horror altogether, I disregarded the book. That is, until girls in my classes were seen carrying a large black book with a picture of apple and a hand.

I finally gave in and read the first book, devouring it and falling in love with Edward, the perfect man who cares for nothing else but his Bella. He was, as Bella repeatedly stated throughout the series, as handsome as a greek statue and as hard as one. Edward Cullen was the reason I loved the books, and Stephenie Meyer became one of my heroes.

I went to see her when she was in town for her “The Host” book tour and got three of my books signed (like I said, I was a fan). I went to the Breaking Dawn release party at a bookstore. I also went to the movie’s midnight premiere.

It was before the Breaking Dawn release that I reread the series and realized how flawed the writing, the characters, and the plot was. To cut it short, it was not the next “Harry Potter”, not nearly close. I realized I had been blinded by Edward’s “heavenly” personality that I didn’t get the full jist of Twilight, and I began hating the series, especially when the media just kept raving on about how great it was, and when fangirls would just drool over Edward.

This hate, of course, was built up over half a year to the point where I hate it with a burning passion now.

So I know that’s a long post, but I hope you got a glimpse of why I hate it. But below is a little bit about the blog:

What is this blog? Simply what the title says – a blog dedicated to hating the ridiculous world of Twilight and it’s so-called phenomena.

What will I be posting?I will be posting Twilight-related topics which I find a nuisance and amusing for anti-Twi’s.

Why am I dedicating my precious time to promote Twilight if I hate it? Good question. The fact of the matter is, I do go on to Twilight fansites just to read up on the nonsense of it all and then complain about it for a good five to ten minutes to myself. So I thought I’d write it down and see who agrees with me and who doesn’t. Plus, it’s not really promoting; yes, I would be talking about it but I’m also hoping to bring people to their senses about this book.

What is so horrible about Twilight? I’ll only give you the basic reasons why I dislike the series since I’m sure I’ll go more indepth on the matter when the time comes.

The characters are one dimensional
Everyone is too perfect
Girls only like the series because of Edward
Edward stalks Bella.. and she likes it
The books are way too long and needs serious editing
Reneesme (need I say more?)
Reneesme and Jacob (again… need I say more?)

There are more reasons but I’ll leave this for now.
